Hello islandtime, Thank you for reviewing our Lifeproof flooring. We are disappointed to hear that you had difficulties vacuuming your carpet. Many vacuum cleaner models are equipped with a manual height adjustment selector that allows you to control the vacuum brush bar’s distance and the carpet surface. This selector should be started at the highest setting and lowered until the brush barely touches the carpet surface. The vacuum cleaner should be easy to push across your carpet. If it's difficult to push, the vacuum motor seems to be straining, or you can smell the odor of burning rubber (the brush bar drive belt), then the selector is set too low. If you can't select a higher setting, then your vacuum may be incompatible with your carpet. You can learn more vacuums at the Carpet and Rug Institute's website, www.carpet-rug.org. ~kj
